TEMPORARY STAFFING

Contracting temporary employees is a rapid, cost-effective, and flexible solution for your company’s needs, for seasonal fluctuations, increases in workload, or special projects.


FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT TEMPORARY STAFFING.

IS IT LEGAL TO CONTRACT TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES?

Completely. Law 6.019/74 created the legal basis for temporary employment for extraordinary increases in workload or short-term replacement of full-time employees.

HOW LONG CAN TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES BE CONTRACTED?

The initial contract is for up to 90 days, renewable for an additional period of up to 90 days, with a notification to the Ministry of Labor. In total, a maximum of 180 days with no minimum period.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING TEMPORARY STAFFING?

Speed: RHI has a database of available candidates and a team of efficient recruiters, ready to select the most qualified candidates in the shortest time.

Flexibility: Companies only hire the number of employees they actually need to carry out the job. In this manner, labor becomes a direct rather than a fixed cost.

IS THE COST OF TEMPORARY LABOR MORE THAN PERMANENT EMPLOYEES?

The cost of temporary staff, including RHI’s Agency Fee, one of the most competitive in the market, is more economical as this type of labor is exempt from termination costs as well as certain social security taxes. Additionally, some of the benefits provided to full-time employees are not normally extended to temporary staff.
